Day 72: Light
Daniel 7:1-28
1 John 1:1-10
Psalm 119:153-176
Proverbs 28:23-24
"God is light; in him there is no darkness at all" 1 John 1:5
Hallelujah.
In my life lately I've seen a lot of dark places. I've been in homes, rooms, establishments, etc that are dark, godless, lost. The kind of places that have me clinging to old and basic information "Jesus loves me, God is here." The type of places that are so filled with lies that they try to push out the truest things. I haven't been to the darkest places, I'm sure, but I've been to some dark places.
I want no part of the darkness.
It is such a comfort to me, these few words: "God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all." Hallelujah!
For all of the dark, lost, and hurting things I've seen thus far: God is starkly different. Take courage, He is so different.
For those who are lost and sad and hurting He offers so much hope, love, and peace. He shows us truth; He does not lie to us. He shines bright; He does not lead us in shadows.
He is the light we see shining in all the darkness.
