Nothing is impossible!
Ananias got a HUGE lesson in that in this little remarkable chapter of Acts. Saul was the guy everyone told Ananias to avoid, the guy everyone worried about...he was not the guy anyone was considering evangelizing to. Yet here God was telling Ananias to "go to Saul, Saul is waiting for you, he is ready to follow Me."
And of course Saul would go on to become Paul...to write most of the New Testament...to preach the gospel to the Gentiles, to leaders, to countless peoples, to you and me.
What barriers? What walls? What can stand against God? The walls of Jericho will fall, the murderer of Christians will fall, the impossible will become reality.

I looked back on some of my older posts today. (For example). I had a lot more energy and motivation to write more at the beginning of this project, so I want to be restored back to that. But I am really encouraged and in awe of God for I see my growth in the way I interact with the Bible.
I see how much more faith I already have. At the beginning of this project the passages about God's judgement, His righteous anger, His holiness, they all kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I was wrestling with the uncompromising nature of God. I was afraid of how harsh He sounded...it didn't seem very accessible for those I know who don't know Jesus.
But 267 days later of reading about who God is...I'm not worried about it anymore. I read today about Solomon's outright disobedience, his turning away from God toward other "detestable" gods. 200 days ago I might have cringed at the word "detestable." I might have wished God would be a little more PC and gentler with Solomon. But today it didn't even occur to me. Because God is the only God. God is perfect, He is good, He is so righteous and beautiful...every other god is detestable.
It's good to be gentle, it's good to be PC, it's good to be compassionate and careful and sensitive. But we must never compromise. To follow God, to devote ourselves to the ONE TRUE CREATOR GOD is the most natural and right and lovely thing we can ever do. It's the only thing to do.

To Him who is able to melt the heart of stone. To Him who makes hearts, melds hearts, wants hearts. May He be my very heart. May He be the thing I fix my life upon.
